The CONSERVATORY
The Archive Conservatory is a post-secondary training program designed for emerging artists ready to bridge the gap between studio training and professional artistry.
Rooted in contemporary movement and creative exploration, the program offers a daily practice that nurtures technique, collaboration, and authentic expression. Our dancers train intensively, create original work, and connect with leading artists who are shaping the future of dance.
This is where movement becomes language — and artistry becomes voice.
Auditions for the 2026–27 Season open December 1, 2025
About The Program
-
Foundation & Connection (Fall Term)
The fall term grounds dancers in daily practice and connection. Focus is placed on building strong technique, alignment, and consistency across contemporary, ballet, and modern forms.
Dancers begin collaborative work through guided improvisation and short composition studies, cultivating ensemble awareness and personal voice.
Throughout the term, dancers are guided to explore their why—the deeper purpose behind their movement and artistry—creating a foundation that is both physical and intentional.
This season ends with an informal in-studio showing, offering a glimpse into the process rather than a polished product — a celebration of growth, presence, and exploration. -
Exploration & Collaboration (Winter Term)
The winter term invites deeper creative risk and artistic play. Training expands beyond the classroom into collaborative creation labs, composition, and improvisation, alongside interdisciplinary sessions with guest artists.
Dancers work collectively to develop a short film project, merging movement with camera, sound, and storytelling. This process encourages collaboration, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of dance as both performance and visual art.
Each artist continues to refine their voice through experimentation, preparing for the transition into public performance.
-
Performance & Professional Practice (Spring Term)
The final term is about bringing it all together—refining artistry, preparing for the stage, and stepping confidently into the professional world.
Students complete their final presentation, learning to create a show collectively—from concept to production. Learning through portfolio and career-readiness sessions, including audition prep, headshots, and artist statements. This final phase integrates everything built throughout the year: discipline, artistry, and community. It marks the transition from student to artist, as dancers step into the next stage of their creative journey with clarity and confidence.
Commitment.
